My time in Portland was a special experience filled with creativity, connection, and collaboration. I traveled to Portland to create a custom art piece on the home of Ansley and Kevin, who welcomed me into their home and made the experience even more meaningful. During my stay, I was also able to install 17 individual compositions throughout the city, each finding its own place within the Portland landscape. Ansley and Kevin introduced me to a local frame shop, where I sourced all of the reclaimed scrap wood used to bring these pieces to life. It was exciting to take materials that might otherwise have been discarded and transform them into something new, giving each composition its own character and story. This project became about more than just creating art; it was about the people, places, and unexpected connections that made Portland such a memorable part of my journey.
